Turn an old mirror destined for the scrap heap into a statement piece.

What You Need

Instruction

Step 1: Wipe mirror with Selleys® Bathroom Tough Wipes. Wait five minutes before rinsing it thoroughly with water.

Step 2: Measure the frame and make sure it can fit the mirror

Step 3: Attach the mirror to the frame with Selleys® Liquid Nails® Mirror, Metal and Glass. For mirrors up to 6mm thick, apply strips or beads of the adhesive, approximately 8cm apart. Do not apply adhesive over vinyl backing and ensure the surfaces are dry before applying. Press the wooden frame on to the mirror. Support with clamps for 72 hours.

Step 4: Sand the frame down and clean it again with Selleys® Sugar Soap to remove excess dust. When it’s dry, paint it in the colour of your choice using Dulux® Wash&Wear® paint.

Step 5: Add some decoration to the mirror with mosaic tiles. Apply Selleys® Power Grip® to one surface and hold the tiles onto the desired place until the glue sets, usually around three minutes. If necessary, tape them down until they are fully dry.
