How To Spruce Up Your Courtyard

Project #1: The Soap Holder

What You Need

• Small piece of sandstone with a flush back
• Selleys Hold Up tube
• Secatuers or Stanley Knife
• Clean brush
• Masking tape

Step 1

First up I’ll mark the position with a pencil. 

Pull cap off Selleys Hold Up, unscrew nozzle and pierce membrane with the tip of the nozzle. Replace nozzle and cut along the second ridge.

Important: Make sure surfaces are clean, free from grease, girt and grime. Before applying on a painted surface, make sure the paint is in good condition & not flaky, peeling, or loose as the final bond may be compromised

Step 2

Cover the flat surface with the adhesive in long vertical strips

Step 3

After applying the adhesive, press surfaces together firmly, ensuring the adhesive spreads

Step 4

As the sandstone has a little weight to it & juts out a bit from the wall, we will make sure it stays in place until the glue sets with some masking tape

Project #2: The Welcome Sign

What You Need

• Welcome sign or towel rack of your choice with a flush back
• Selleys Hold Up Tube
• Dowel - cut to size
• Drill with spade bit the same size as the dowel
• Selleys Aquadhere Exterior
• Clean cloth

Step 1

First up I’ll mark the positions for the dowel using a pencil with a pencil and then drill about 3/4 of the way through.

Step 2

Squeeze a bit of Selleys Aquadhere Exterior into each hole and insert the dowel in each hole. Leave to dry 

Step 3

Attach the sign to the wall using Selleys Hold Up. Cover the flat surface with the adhesive in long vertical strips. Leave to fully cure for 48 hours before use.
