1. Hold drift wood against the door and in your desired position, with the flattest side of the wood facing the door.
2. Mark 2 spots towards the top and Bottom of the driftwood on the door and wood, this is where the dowel will go.
3. On the marked spots, use your 16mm spade bit to drill a hole about 15-20mm deep into driftwood
4. Cut 2 small lengths of your dowel, about 50-60mm in length.
5. Apply Selleys Araldite 5min onto dowels and insert them into the holes on your driftwood, let the dowels set in place for at least 30 minutes.
6. Now the dowels are set in place, we will mark their position on the door.
7. Next up let’s drill out the holes on the door using your 16mm spade bit – you’ll only need to go about 20 -25mm. Remove any dust and loose timber.
8. It’s time for a dry test – so fit the driftwood onto the door by inserting dowels into the holes on the door
9. Apply Selleys Araldite 5min to the dowels and insert them into the holes on your door – to help keep the driftwood in place while the glue sets you can simply use some masking tape.
10. Once the glue is set, leave the bond for at least 30 mins (Maximum strength is reached after 16 hours).
11. Now, your door is ready to use.
